The information provided on this Site is for educational and informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Use of this Site or submission of information through contact forms does not create a therapist–client relationship. A formal relationship is only established after completion of an evaluation, signed consent forms, and acceptance of treatment by both the client and Joy Therapy Solutions.

2. Professional Services

Therapy services are provided by licensed speech-language pathologists and IBCLCs in accordance with state and federal laws. Individual treatment plans are based on professional assessment and clinical judgment.

Participation in therapy services requires completion of intake paperwork, informed consent, and agreement to the practice’s financial and attendance policies.

3. HIPAA Compliance and Confidentiality

Joy Therapy Solutions complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to protect your personal health information (PHI).
We use secure methods to collect, store, and transmit PHI and limit access to authorized personnel only.

Electronic communications such as email or video conferencing are conducted through HIPAA-compliant platforms when used for therapy or sharing sensitive information. However, please be aware that communication via standard email or text message may not be fully secure, and by using those methods, you accept that risk.

4. Teletherapy Services

If you participate in teletherapy (online therapy sessions), you agree to the following:

  • You will ensure you have a private, quiet space for sessions to protect confidentiality.

  • You are responsible for having the necessary internet connection, device, and software.

  • Teletherapy sessions may not be recorded or shared by the client without written permission from Joy Therapy Solutions.

  • The therapist may determine that teletherapy is not clinically appropriate and may recommend in-person sessions instead.

  • Services are provided in accordance with the laws of the state(s) in which the therapist is licensed. Clients must be physically located in a state where the therapist holds a valid license during teletherapy sessions.

5. Use of the Website

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use of the Site. You may not:

  • Use the Site in a way that could damage or impair it;

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, other accounts, or networks connected to the Site;
